Stele
Conceived as ‘a family of cabinets’, the 'Stele' collection grew out of a self-imposed design brief. Constraining himself to a single set of dimensions - 800 x 400 x 1600H mm - Chan has created six cabinets that are identical in size, but with each one serving a different function: a larder, a bar, a wardrobe, a bureau, a box cabinet and a glass cabinet.
Chan chose the name ‘Stele’ for the collection, to express the plain, monument-like appearance of the cabinets when closed.
