An 'archi-sculptural masterpiece' by the renowned Japanese architect, Arata Isozaki, the Jumeirah Himalayas is a landmark on Shanghai's Pudong district, and already regarded as one of modern China's iconic buildings.

Samuel Chan was appointed furniture designer to the entire project, from the public areas and restaurants through to guest bedrooms and suites. It gave him a unique opportunity to create a collection of contemporary furniture works that pays homage to classical Chinese forms, as well as the architect's intention to integrate nature with design.
